What this generator does

The controls above cover the common case; Advanced settings opens the full workspace for resolution, audio, and video editing.

Turn a sentence into a clip

Describe the scene in plain language. Seedance 2.5 renders subject, motion, and camera from the text alone.

Guide the look with reference images

Upload up to 4 reference images — a product photo, a character sheet, a style frame — and they steer what the clip looks like.

Match the frame to the platform

16:9 for desktop feeds, 9:16 for vertical video, 4:3 and 3:4 when the source material demands it.

Control the run length

Choose any duration from 1 to 30 seconds, so short drafts use fewer credits while you iterate.

Edit footage in the workspace

Advanced settings opens the full editor, where Seedance 2.5 can rework a source video of 4–30 seconds and add generated audio.

How to get a good clip

The tool is a form and a result panel; these are the decisions that matter.

  1. Write the shot, not the plot

Describe what the camera sees — subject, action, setting, lighting. Prompts can run to 5,000 characters, so detail helps.

  2. Add a reference image if you have one

A subject or style reference pins the look of the output. Without one, everything comes from the text.

  3. Pick the aspect for where it will play

16:9 for landscape feeds, 9:16 for vertical video. Changing it costs nothing until you generate.

  4. Choose a duration that fits the idea

A second or two is enough for a motion accent; scenes need more runway. The credit cost updates as you change it.

  5. Generate, then download

The finished video plays in the right-hand panel with a download button. Resolution, audio, and editing live under Advanced settings.

Where Seedance 2.5 fits

Shorts, Reels, and TikTok drafts

Vertical 9:16 output in the 5–15 second range suits platform feeds — generate a draft, check the motion, then tighten the prompt.

Product and brand shots

A reference image of the product plus a prompt describing the camera move keeps the item consistent while the scene animates around it.

Concept pitches

A few seconds of generated footage communicates a scene faster than a mood board.

Stylized and anime clips

The showcase above includes stylized output, so animation-style prompts are a practical starting point for character work.
